Shrimp Pappardelle In A Buttery Shallot Sauce

Absolutely delicious. Wow. This is something you need to put on your list of meals to make!! This pasta dish was super simple to make, required minimal ingredients and prep and tasted like a 5 star meal. I used pappardelle noodles because I like the wide noodle and think it pairs really nicely with the sauce and shrimp combo, but you could totally use another noodle like spaghetti or tagliatelle. Top it off with some parmesan cheese and you will not be able to stop eating it! We thought we would have extras but ate the whole thing, whoops!

Serves 4 people

4 Easy Steps:

  1. Heat large pan over medium-low heat, add 1 tbsp butter and let melt. Then add garlic and allow to sauté for 30s. Add shallots, mix around and then allow to cook untouched for about 3 minutes or until softened.

  2. Heat up pot of water with salt and bring to a boil, add pasta and let cook.

  3. Add thyme to butter pan, allow the flavors to combine before adding 1 tbsp of butter and shrimp. Turn up heat to medium-high. Squeeze lemon juice over all the shrimp and cook for about 3-5 minutes on each side. Add salt and pepper for flavor.

  4. Once pasta is cooked, add into pan with shrimp. Add about 1/4 cup of pasta water and continue to cook until ingredients fully combined. Add remainder of butter, red pepper flakes and parmesan cheese. Add more salt and pepper if needed and more parm if desired!

What you will need:

  • 1/2 stick butter
