Matzo Crack
Happy Pasach (Passover for the non-jews)!!!! In honor of this holiday I made a dessert dish that is so addicting and really not that great for you.. BUT it is still so good and it is so easy to make!
What you will need:
5 Easy Steps:
Heat oven to 350°F. Place the matzah evenly onto a sheet
Heat up butter in sauce pan on low heat, whisking occasionally so it does not burn. Add brown sugar constantly whisking. Continue until a thick and foam texture forms. Pour your (now toffy!) on top of the matzah and spread evenly with a spatula. Put in oven for 8-10 minutes until it begins to bubble
For the chocolate you have a couple of options: you can either just use a bunch of chocolate chips/broken chocolate bar or you can make the chocolate sauce from scratch. To make sauce heat up saucepan and place milk into pot. Add cocoa powder and whisk continuously. Add a sprinkle of sugar and continue to whisk until mixture has combined, add some chocolate chips
Pull out matzah from oven and pour chocolate sauce on top. Spread chocolate over matzah, add more chocolate chips if you want more chocolate. Sprinkle chopped up pecans over chocolate and sea salt (pretzels would also be bomb)
Place matzah in the fridge and allow to cool for about 40 minutes. Pull out to cut into pieces and enjoy!
4ish pieces of Matzah (enough to fill a baking sheet)
2 sticks butter
1 cup brown sugar
Chocolate Chips
3 tbsp Cocoa Powder
1/3 cup Milk (I used oat)
Sugar
Pecans
